West Ham are now being linked with sensational RB Salzburg attacker Roko Simic.
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a top class centre-forward in January.
Michail Antonio is currently the only recognised centre-forward at the London Stadium.
That quite clearly isn’t good enough for a club with European aspirations and hopes of finishing inside the top six in the Premier League table.
It seems as though David Moyes has a plan up his sleeve to address that particular problem though.
West Ham linked with RB Salzburg ace Roko Simic
The 18-year-old striker is on the Hammers’ radar according to a report from Jeunes Footeux.
We won’t have things all our own way, however, with Real Madrid, Tottenham and RB Leipzig also thought to be keen on signing the teenager.
What an incredibly exciting signing Simic would be for West Ham. He is a young player with so much talent and potential and he is undoubtedly destined for the very top.
The Croatian is currently on loan with FC Liefering and has been on fire, bagging nine goals in just 12 games so far (Transfermarkt).
Simic is obviously still very young, so he is far from the finished article. He has all of the raw ingredients needed to succeed in the Premier League, however.
Former West Ham striker Nikica Jelavic recently described his countryman as ‘world-class’ (The Sun).
Simic in action:
This is exactly the kind of signing West Ham should be making. Whether we will be able to beat the likes of Madrid and Spurs to his signature, however, remains to be seen.
