West Ham United are said to be lining up a bargain deal for an elite striker this summer.
The upcoming summer transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham and of course, Graham Potter.
Some of the awful business conducted by Tim Steidten has really put Potter behind the eight-ball at the London Stadium.
He has a lot of work to do, if he is to successfully clean up the mess left behind by Steidten and Julen Lopetegui.

It just feels like this season is cursed, and nothing’s going right for West Ham right now.
Things went from bad to worse for the Hammers when Lucas Paqueta suffered an ankle injury during training earlier this week.

Things will get better for the Hammers though, I’m sure of it.
And it seems like the club are lining up a seriously exciting deal ahead of the summer transfer window.
West Ham enter talks to sign Jonathan David for nothing
Jonathan David is said to be on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer window.
The Guardian claims that West Ham have held discussions with the 25-year-old forward.
However, Juventus and Inter allegedly want to sign the Lille hitman as well.
The Canada international has been a Hammers target for quite some time now, and we were linked with a move to bring him to the London Stadium in January.
West Ham have been crying out for a striker like David for years now.
We seriously lack the ability to stretch the opposition, and the Canadian would change all of that in an instant.

In my opinion, signing players on the cheap isn’t necessarily always a bad thing.
David Sullivan targets elite bargain basement deals
The Hammers co-owner is said to be on the hunt for some bargain deals this summer.
Signing David on a free transfer would be one of the deals of the century for West Ham.
I have to be honest, if the Hammers do go down the route of chasing bargains this summer, I will be more than happy if that includes moves for the likes of David.
The Lille striker is absolutely electric.
He possesses blistering pace, has terrific movement and is an elite finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
David has bagged an impressive 20 goals and nine assists in 35 games for Lille so far this season (Transfermarkt).
West ham signing Jonathan David on a free transfer could end up being a transformational signing for us.
