The Guardian claims that West Ham have held discussions with the 25-year-old forward.
However, Juventus and Inter allegedly want to sign the Lille hitman as well.
The Canada international has been a Hammers target for quite some time now, and we were linked with a move to bring him to the London Stadium in January.
West Ham have been crying out for a striker like David for years now.
We seriously lack the ability to stretch the opposition, and the Canadian would change all of that in an instant.
In my opinion, signing players on the cheap isn’t necessarily always a bad thing.

I have to be honest, if the Hammers do go down the route of chasing bargains this summer, I will be more than happy if that includes moves for the likes of David.
The Lille striker is absolutely electric.
He possesses blistering pace, has terrific movement and is an elite finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
David has bagged an impressive 20 goals and nine assists in 35 games for Lille so far this season (Transfermarkt).
