With the 2025/26 campaign coming to an end, West Ham’s many loanees will soon return to East London.

Some players will be keen for the season to finish, while others will be hoping it continues for another few weeks.

Promising forward Josh Landers will want to extend his stay with Boreham Wood, with up to three play-off games on the horizon.

Having only just made his first start for the National League club, Landers could lead them to promotion in the next fortnight.

West Ham loanee Josh Landers set for Boreham Wood vs Forest Green play-off

Josh Landers joined Boreham Wood in March on a short-term loan deal until the end of the 2025/26 season.

He made his debut in a 0-0 draw away to Truro City on 28 March, coming off the bench with four minutes to go.

Landers scored his first goal less than two weeks later, in a 4-1 defeat to mid-table side Solihull Moors.

However, the West Ham youngster had to wait until the final weekend of the regular season to make his first start.

Landers played 63 minutes in Boreham Wood’s 1-0 victory over Sutton United on Saturday, with their fourth-place finish already confirmed.

The Wood’s next game is on Wednesday, 29 April, against Robbie Savage’s Forest Green Rovers in the National League play-off quarter-final.

The winner will then face Carlisle in the semi-final this weekend, with a place in the final at Wembley Stadium on the line.

Promotion to League Two would certainly mark a magnificent end to Landers’ first loan spell away from the London Stadium.
