West Ham United legend Tony Cottee has been dropped by Sky Sports ahead of the new season.
West Ham goalscoring hero Cottee has been part of the Sky Sports football team for 20 years.
Cottee, who scored 115 goals in two spells at West Ham, was a familiar face for Hammers fans tuning into Sky Sports’s Soccer Saturday shows.

Sky was the limit for West Ham goalscoring hero
The homegrown Hammer would often strike the right chord when discussing the West Ham issues of the day when other pundits struggled to grasp the true feeling amongst fans.
But from next season Cottee will no longer be working on Sky Sports as the company continues the overhaul of its punditry team and presenters which saw Matt Le Tissier, Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas bite the bullet last season.
Speaking on Twitter Cottee announced his time at Sky Sports has come to an end.
The West Ham legend thanked the company for two decades of great memories and quipped that the matches may be more entertaining without him – a nod to his reputation for being on comms for bore draws.

It was a privilege to be a part of such a great team I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with at Soccer Saturday in that time and a special thanks to all the cameramen and backroom staff who have looked after me so well.
“Perhaps there won’t be so many 0-0’s now?!!”
