West Ham United face an incredibly busy summer transfer window ahead.

Graham Potter has made a slow start to life at West Ham, and he will need to make some big changes at the London Stadium this summer.

The Hammers squad is simply not good enough to compete for the European places next season, with more energy, pace, dynamism, athleticism and youth required.

Graham Potter has been tinkering with his West Ham starting XI’s over the past three months, and he will be well aware that reinforcements are required.

The Hammers owners have made it clear to Potter that he has to raise some funds this summer before he spends.

And with that in mind, passing up on the opportunity to sell one player in particular would be utter madness.

West Ham have to sell Guido Rodriguez this summer

Guido Rodriguez joined West Ham on a free transfer from Real Betis in the summer of 2024.

However, he has proven to be a terrible signing for the Hammers.

It has been claimed that West Ham will demand around £12 million for Guido Rodriguez in the summer transfer window.

River Plate and Club America could well be willing to pay that kind of cash for the 30-year-old midfielder.

The sooner the South American is moved on the better it will be for the Hammers, especially given the need to raise funds.

West Ham keeping Guido Rodriguez would be utter madness

The former Betis man has proven so many times that he is not physically capable of playing Premier League football.

He has to be shipped out this summer, it really is as simple as that.

It was recently suggested that West Ham are desperate to sell Guido Rodriguez.

However, it was claimed on Thursday that Potter may well decide to keep the Argentina international at the London Stadium (TNT Sports).

And if the West Ham head coach does keep hold of Guido Rodriguez, it will undoubtedly be a massive mistake.
