West Ham have allegedly made a £5.5 million bid for David Osorio

West Ham United have reportedly already made a formal bid for Universidad de Chile starlet Dario Osorio.

According to ex-Universidad de Chile ace Johnny Herrera (when speaking to TNT Sports and quoted via Bolavip), West Ham have made an opening offer for Dario Osorio worth £5.5 million.

Hammers boss David Moyes will clearly be keen to bolster his attacking department at the London Stadium this summer, with more talented youth required.

Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen are desperate for more competition on the left and right wing.

And it seems as though Moyes has a very special young player in mind for the job…

West Ham have made a bid for Dario Osorio

Universidad de Chile legend Johnny Herrera reckons that the Hammers, as well as Leicester, have already made a concrete offer to bring the 19-year-old forward to the London Stadium.

“One of the majority shareholders (at Universidad) told me that (an offer) came of £5.5 million arrived from West Ham. Now, one from Leicester for £6.7 million as well. “I know of two offers for Osorio. One last year and this one from Leicester.”

So judging by those comments, the Hammers will need to up our offer, if we are to sign Osorio.

The talented teenager, who can play on either wing or in the number 10 position, has already bagged eight goals in 42 senior games for Universidad de Chile (Transfermarkt).

Football Talent Scout have described the young Chilean as a flamboyant winger and compared him to Argentinian legend Angel Di Maria.

Dario Osorio is clearly a very talented young player, and it will be interesting to see whether West Ham go back in with another bid for him.

It does seem like Moyes is making moves to bring some of the most talented youngsters in world football to the London Stadium this summer. And that can only be a good thing.
