West Ham United take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday night.
We’ve already been dealt a blow with the Premier League scheduling the Chelsea vs West Ham clash on transfer deadline day.
West Ham showed some really encouraging signs during our 1-1 draw away at Aston Villa last weekend.
Graham Potter has clearly made an immediate impact at the London Stadium, but he has a lot more work do to, especially when it comes to bringing in a couple of new signings before the January window slams shut.
Potter is allegedly closing in on his first signing for the Hammers, with Evan Ferguson said to be nearing a move to the London Stadium.
However, the 49-year-old’s main priority will be getting his team ready to face Chelsea on Monday night.

Enzo Maresca’s side have been very strong this season on the whole, in spite of a recent dip in form.
That said, we should still be able to give them a good game, despite some bad news that we have just received.
Premier League’s announcement ahead of Chelsea vs West Ham
The Hammers fans know full well how tough it will be for the boys to get a result at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
They are a top tier side with numerous world-class players who are all capable of hurting us on their day.
And now it seems like our task of getting a result in west London has just got a whole lot more complicated.
That’s because the Premier League have confirmed that Stuart Attwell will referee the Chelsea vs West Ham clash.
The Hammers played host to Chelsea in the reverse fixture back in September 2024.
We were well beaten in the end, with Chelsea running out as comfortable 3-0 winners.
However, the end result could have been very different indeed, had Attwell performed to the levels expected of so-called top-class officials.
Stuart Attwell has history with West Ham
West Ham should been awarded a penalty in the first-half against Chelsea when Crysencio Summerville was hauled down inside the Blues’ penalty area.

Referee Sam Barrott waved away shouts for a penalty, before the incident went to VAR for their perusal.
However, Stuart Attwell refused to budge, and stuck by the on-field decision. Anyone with even the smallest amount of football knowledge knew that should have been a penalty.
It was a disgraceful decision – one that reeked of a man who was merely just supporting his ‘mate’.
The poor call should have been enough for him to be demoted as far as I’m concerned.
So to have Stuart Attwell refereeing the Premier League game between Chelsea and West Ham on Monday night is a real slap in the face for us.
He shouldn’t be anywhere near a Hammers match again as far as I’m concerned.
