David Moyes brought Mohammed Kudus to West Ham United from Ajax in the summer of 2023.
However, whilst Kudus was exceptional for West Ham during his debut campaign at the London Stadium, former Hammers boss Moyes struggled badly, and was relieved of his duties at the end of the season.
Interestingly, Kudus praised the West Ham fans when they were calling for Moyes’s head in March 2024.
The second half of last season was abysmal for the Hammers.
West Ham began the year in sixth place in the Premier League table, but ended up in ninth spot, after winning just four of their last 19 league games.
That run included numerous heavy defeats away at the likes of Crystal Palace, Fulham and Chelsea.

And Moyes was sent packing after the final day defeat away at Manchester City.
However, things have got even worse for the Hammers since the Scot left the London Stadium.
West Ham fans who wanted David Moyes out need to see what Mohammed Kudus said
The Ghana international was seemingly a very big fan of Moyes.
After the Hammers lost 3-1 to Manchester City on the final day of the season, Kudus addressed the media.
Kudus raved about the job that Moyes did at the London Stadium during the 2023/24 season, when speaking to club reporters:
“Big credit to the manager. He’s done a fantastic job this season. Long season, difficult times, with ups and downs, but I give credit to everyone. We are all together, this is just the beginning.“
I’m just not on board with those comments from Kudus.

It’s clear that he had a lot of respect for Moyes, but West Ham were quite simply atrocious during the second half of the season.
Sacking Moyes was the right call from the West Ham board
Moving Moyes on was not the wrong decision.
However, replacing the Scot with Julen Lopetegui was an awful mistake.
Had David Sullivan actually paid for a manager – someone like Thomas Frank or Andoni Iraola, the Hammers would undoubtedly be in a far better position than they are right now.
It always baffles me how Sullivan is happy to spend £15 million on someone like Danny Ings, but he won’t part with £9 million or so to hire Thomas Frank.
The manager is the most important person at a football club, and West Ham got it so wrong by bringing in Lopetegui to replace Moyes last summer.
