ExWHUemployee has claimed that there is a chance a US based consortium could be looking into making an offer for West Ham United very soon.

And some Hammers fans have reacted to the ‘predictable’ news on Twitter.

Now before we say anything else, it must be made clear that Ex did say that he doesn’t personally think there are any legs to the rumours.

Ex told the West Ham Way podcast in his weekly update:

“A decent source told me that an American consortium are finalising a bid for the club and will submit an offer. Now, I don’t know if I believe this, I don’t know if there are legs in it. I don’t want people to get carried away. I’m not sure if it’s true or not.”

Now, you can take those comments with a pinch of salt. Or as many West Ham fans think, perhaps it’s a rumour that was started by David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady with season ticket sales time now upon us.

The Hammers fans aren’t stupid.

Sure, we are all frustrated with GSB. At the same time, however, we know when there is genuine interest in a potential takeover at the London Stadium.

We honestly don’t believe anyone will be buying West Ham before 2023.

If the Hammers are sold for more than £200 million before 2023, Sullivan and Gold would be duty bound to pay a 12.5% share premium to the London Stadium public owners.

We all know how the duo operate. That clearly won’t be happening.

Some West Ham fans took to Twitter yesterday regarding to the potential take-over claim made by ExWHUemployee:
