West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has called for togetherness after a catastrophic start to the season.

The Irons, under the guidance of new manager Manuel Pellegrini, have lost all four of their Premier League games this term, leaving them rooted to the bottom of the table with no points.

Cresswell made a return to the starting line-up for Saturday’s home match against Wolves and was widely criticised for the goal.

Wolves triumphed 1-0 with Adama Traore stealing a march on Cresswell in stoppage time to fire in.

Cresswell’s only answer was to try to trip the speedy winger up but failed to do that and he raced through to slot past Lukasz Fabianski.

After the game, the 3-cap England international issued a rallying cry to his team-mates.

Cresswell said: “All we can do now is stick together and put things right. We’ve got enough character to do that.”

Here are how some West Ham fans reacted to this on Twitter.
