There is no hiding the fact West Ham fans are feeling a lot more positive about their club since the departures of Karren Brady and David Sullivan and the new regime continue to impress.
New West Ham majority owner Daniel Kretinsky and interim CEO Karim Virani were in something of a no-lose situation in succeeding David Sullivan and Karren Brady – but nevertheless, they’ve been making all the right moves and noises.
Kretinsky is purchasing an additional 16 per cent of the Hammers to become the main stakeholder and although he still holds a significant 38.8 per cent share, Sullivan has resigned from the board – just like vice-chair Brady a few weeks before.
Many West Ham fans feel it represents a new era for their club.

There have been a multitude of positive developments since which has seen over 50,000 Hammers supporters buy season tickets despite relegation to the Championship.
The new-look West Ham hierarchy have already met with and consulted the club’s Fan Advisory Board several times, something the old regime became notorious for avoiding.

One of the new regime’s first acts was to announce plans to change West Ham’s widely disliked badge, which was changed to coincide with the move to the London Stadium in 2016.
After meetings with Kretinsky, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, captain Jarrod Bowen, vice-captain Tomas Soucek and several other stars have pledged their future to the club.
Even West Ham’s new kits – often the source of much criticism – have gone down well too.
It seems rather apt that West Ham have switched to New Balance for a ‘new era’.
While the deal was done by the previous regime, they are being left in the shade in the way the new regime is handling it.
Because West Ham fans have been getting a classy letter from Nuno Espirito Santo which puts the old regime in the shade.

But Virani and the new regime are treating supporters like family.

Hammers fans purchasing the new kit have been receiving a letter from their Portuguese head coach not only thanking them for supporting the club in buying the shirt but also vowing to lead West Ham back to the Premier League.
And Nuno says this season is not just about getting back to the big time but using this period to reset West Ham and reconnect the club from the boardroom to the terraces and the pitch.
“Dear supporter, first of all, thank you for your loyalty in ‘purchasing our new 2026/27 kit,” Nuno says in the letter.
“From day one, we have been working hard to take West Ham United back to where it belongs and, above all, to make you proud of your club.
“This season is about more than what we achieve on the pitch. It is also about building our club – strengthening an identity rooted in the history, traditions and values of West Ham United.
“Whenever our players pull on this shirt, we will ask them to give everything Hard work, commitment, sacrifice and togetherness are what this badge deserves… and I know that when you wear it, you represent those very same values.
“That is what makes West Ham United so special. We are one family, united by the same passion for this football club. We want to build something together this season, and every single one of us has a part to play.

Such a simple gesture but it goes a long way with fans.
The old regime often tried to paint Hammers supporters as difficult and hard to please.
The new regime have proved in just a few weeks they are anything but.
