West Ham have now wheeled out two of their big guns Emerson and Lucas Paqueta in an appeal for fans to fill the London Stadium.
The manager, Vladimir Coufal and Jarrod Bowen have issued rallying cries to West Ham fans for the big Europa League decider against Freiburg.
West Ham have it all to do when Freiburg come to the London Stadium for their last 16 second leg on Thursday.
The Hammers must overcome a 1-0 first leg deficit in a do-or-die game to make the Europa League quarter-finals.
West Ham already effectively know four of seven teams they could face.
There are some mouthwatering potential last eight ties in prospect. But the Hammers must get there first.
David Moyes’ side were rewarded for topping their group with home advantage for the second leg.
But that home advantage threatens to be seriously diminished with over 10,000 seats still remaining for the game at the time of writing.
That’s after UEFA handed the Hammers the ridiculous 5.45pm slot for the clash.
The kick-off time has made it almost impossible for many fans to make it to the London Stadium in time.
Especially factoring in the short turnaround between school turn out and kick-off with rush hour, London traffic and the long security check queues at the stadium to negotiate too.
The Hammers are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to get supporters to fill up the ground.
West Ham duo Emerson Palmieri and Lucas Paqueta have made a last ditch appeal to fans over attendance.
In a video posted on West Ham’s social media captioned ‘Calling all Hammers’, the Brazilian-born duo speak directly to fans.
“Hello guys,” the pair say in the selfie video.
“We have a big game Thursday,” Emerson says.
“And we need you all at the London Stadium.”
“Let’s go together again,” Paqueta says.
“Yes come on,” Emerson adds.
“Come on you Irons,” Paqueta says to finish.
West Ham fans can buy last ditch tickets on the club’s official website.
The video may raise hopes that Emerson will be available.
He faces a late fitness test.
But his involvement in the video might suggest the crucial left-back will be ready for the crunch game.
