Thomas Tuchel has made several SHOCKING decisions!
Thomas Tuchel leaves Jarrod Bowen out of England’s World Cup squad
Thomas Tuchel has left Jarrod Bowen out of England’s World Cup squad, according to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook.
Bukayo Saka is expected to start for England on the right wing, meaning Bowen and Noni Madueke were vying for a backup role.
Having impressed in a few Nations League games and World Cup qualifiers in the last two years, Tuchel has selected Madueke.
The Arsenal winger has been picked despite only contributing two goals and one assist in the Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, Bowen has provided eight goals and 10 assists in a far inferior West Ham side.
The West Ham captain is a better player for his club, but Tuchel must think Madueke will have a bigger impact at the World Cup.
How do YOU feel about Jarrod Bowen as a West Ham United captain….
Clearly a legend but a few dissenting voices 👀
The German’s decision will raise even more questions about Bowen’s future at the London Stadium.
Perhaps the 29-year-old will feel like he has a better chance of playing for England if he joins a bigger club this summer.
Alternatively, Bowen may think his England chances are over and no longer consider his international career.
West Ham supporters will be praying that Tuchel’s decision is not on Bowen’s mind in the game against Leeds on Sunday.
