Two former West Ham favourites are about to link up at the same club and it promises to be sensational viewing.
West Ham fans may have a new second team to follow.
The Hammers have been a tough watch for the last two years with just 17 wins in their last 64 Premier League matches.
The malaise started at the back end of David Moyes’ tenure, got worse under Julen Lopetegui and somehow even worse still when Graham Potter came in.
There has been a lack of identity and excitement to West Ham’s play and approach.
Hammers fans may have a new team to keep an eye out for
And it has had fans reminiscing about some of the exciting players and teams they have had down the years as well as those who got away.
Now two who regularly feature in those kind of conversations are making headlines.
They say ‘once a Hammer always a Hammer’ and West Ham fans love to keep an eye on their former favourites after they leave the club.
Some Hammers fans even go to Real Betis games to watch Pablo Fornals as an example.
Now two former West Ham favourites have both signed for the same club in a move that’s sure to produce fireworks and interest among supporters in east London who still hold them in high regard.
Former Premier League star Jonjo Shelvey was linked with his boyhood club in almost every window for several years.

The rangy midfielder started his youth career with the Hammers but left after the club released his brother.
Shelvey comes from a family of West Ham fans.
And despite never playing for the senior team, Shelvey won the hearts of supporters by doing the crossed Hammers salute to the Millwall crowd when taking a corner while playing for Blackpool.
Shelvey has also talked about his love for West Ham in the past but the move back to east London ended up eluding him.
After a short spell under former three-time Hammer of the Year Scott Parker at Burnley this year, now the Romford-born 33-year-old is playing his football for the Arabian Falcons in Dubai.
The Falcons currently play in the UAE Second Division League – the third tier of the pyramid.
Shelvey made headlines last week by missing a penalty on his debut for the club.
Two ex West Ham favourites set for sensational link-up
The Falcons sit fourth in the table and are pushing to be promoted.
Now Academy of Football product and lifelong Hammers fan Shelvey will have some help as he is joined at the Falcons by a former West Ham fan favourite.
Shelvey will be partnered in midfield by none other than Ravel Morrison.
The Dubai side have announced the signing of Morrison, who is now 32. Morrison played for Falcons’ fellow Dubai-based side Precision last season, scoring nine goals.
Images of Morrison and Shelvey training together have been posted on social media.
And it is a partnership that promises to be very interesting for West Ham fans to watch from afar.

West Ham fans know a player when they see one. And the Hammers faithful knew Morrison was a top level talent as soon as he broke into the team for a brief spell under Sam Allardyce.
Man United great Sir Alex Ferguson once said Morrison was the best talent he had ever seen.
A host of Morrison’s former Hammers teammates agreed.
When he retired from football, Alex Song – who played with the likes of Lionel Messi among many other top stars – left jaws on the floor when he named Morrison as the best talent he ever played with.
Issues off the pitch meant Morrison’s undeniable talent was never fully realised at West Ham or anywhere else for that matter.
Sparks and goals should fly as Ravel and Shelvey unite
But he is best remembered for that short, yet brilliant, spell in east London. Just last week it was the 13th anniversary of Morrison’s mesmeric performance when West Ham destroyed bitter rivals Spurs 3-0 at White Hart Lane.
Now the Falcons become Morrison’s 13th club since leaving West Ham a decade ago in 2015.
He has always talked glowingly about the Hammers and still speaks about the club and fans on social media and in interviews.
Morrison was even spotted wearing a West Ham cap to training for his last side.
Now he will join forces with a fellow former Hammer and the goals should flow.
