Tomas Soucek opened up on a conversation he shared with his West Ham United teammates regarding their goals and targets between now and the end of the season, when speaking to the club’s official website.
The Hammers have been absolutely brilliant this season.
David Moyes has worked wonders since taking over at the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019.
And Tomas Soucek has been a key factor behind our success this season.
West Ham are currently sitting in sixth spot in the Premier League table but we are guaranteed to jump back inside the top five if we beat Leeds on Monday night with Chelsea and Everton going head-to-head in the early klick-off.
Tomas Soucek lifts lid on chat with West Ham teammates
It really has been an incredible turnaround at the club.
Tomas Soucek spoke to WHUFC.com and shared what he and his teammates discussed about our next three games:
“I spoke with the guys, with my teammates, and we want to be in this position at the start of the international break and after the international break we want to carry on. If we stay in this position going into the international break we will be happy because we will then have nine games until the end and we will have a good schedule ourselves. I hope we do very well in these three difficult matches [against Leeds, Manchester United and Arsenal] and then we will go into the international break with belief and it will set us up for the last step.”
Leeds at home, Manchester United away and Arsenal at home on paper are really tricky games.
If West Ham have genuine aspirations of fishing inside the top four, however, we must be looking to take at least six and preferably seven points from those fixtures.
West Ham are more than capable of doing that. Only time will tell whether the Hammers players deliver the goods or not, however.
