West Ham United director of football Tim Steidten has been a man on a mission this summer when it comes to transfers.
Tim Steidten has assisted Julen Lopetegui in bringing eight new signings to the London Stadium, and the West Ham fans are absolutely buzzing ahead of the new season.
It seems as though Steidten is as well, and rightly so.
The German lauded the board and thanked them for their continued support after the Hammers wrapped up our eighth summer signing with the addition of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
It hasn’t just been the volume of new players brought into the London Stadium that’s been so impressive, but the sheer quality of each and every one of them.
The squad Lopetegui currently has at his disposal compared to the one that he inherited is like night and day.
The sky should be the limit for West Ham this season, and that kind if ambition is something this club desperately needs.
With Steidten and Lopetegui’s efficiency in the transfer market, the Hammers are going about things like a proper club now.
Tim Steidten is buzzing about specific West Ham new signing
With so many new arrivals at the London Stadium this summer, it’s hard to pick just one as the stand-out signing.
Lopetegui has spent around £130 million, and the really exciting thing is that there could be more to come!

Which signing does Steidten believe is the most important one of the lot though?
Niclas Fullkrug arrived in East London from Borussia Dortmund, and he will lead the line for the Hammers this season.
Steidten recently explained why he and Lopetegui chose Fullkrug over Duran – because West Ham needed a striker for the here and now.
And now the Hammers director of football raved about the Germany international when speaking exclusively to Sport BILD.
Steidten explained why the 31-year-old hitman should be such a good fit for West Ham and the Premier League in particular.
“Niclas Füllkrug fits well into the Premier League,” he said.
“We were able to convince him of our project: We want to go to Europe, that’s very clear.“
“He can be that, absolutely (a crowd favourite). This has nothing to do with his gap in his teeth. Niclas showed at Werder, in Dortmund and with the national team what a special guy he is. He pulls everyone along with his character.”
I personally think that Fullkrug will be a big hit with West Ham.
He’s very good with his back to goal, is extremely strong both in the air and on the ground and is equally as good with both feet.
The German can lead the line on his own and is capable of dropping into the number 10 role, as he recently admitted.
If he manages to score 12 goals or more and registers somewhere around 10 assists per season, he’ll be a good value for money signing for us.
Tim Steidten is clearly a huge fan of the West Ham striker. Now it just remains to be seen whether he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.
