The one freeze frame image sums up why Tomas Soucek isn't good enough for West Ham

Tomas Soucek was absolutely dreadful during West Ham United’s defeat to Everton at Goodison Park yesterday afternoon.

And there was one particular phase of play that proved just how inept the 27-year-old is at this level of football.

I have been pushing the idea that Tomas Soucek needs to be dropped by David Moyes for quite some time now.

It seems as though Moyes is blind to the 52-capped Czech Republic international’s limitations though.

Soucek has been completely ineffective for West Ham over the past 6-12 months. He seems to have lost his goalscoring instinct, and whilst his role for the Hammers has undoubtedly changed, his positioning, body shape and shooting technique all seem to be well off.

It’s got to a point now where the ex-Slavia Prague midfielder is badly hindering this West Ham team.

Moyes has to act before it’s too late and drop him down to the bench. If the Scot needs any more proof that Soucek is not cut out for Premier League football, he need look no further than the below image…

It’s just becoming a common theme now isn’t it?

One of the 52-capped Czech Republic international’s worst features is his ability when in possession of the football. And on top of that, his passing ability is very poor as well. This slows West Ham down in transition, and we cannot afford to be laborious in our build-up play in the Premier League.

There was one still image captured during out defeat to Everton yesterday that highlights just how inept Soucek is…

How can any footballer not see that pass to Michail Antonio there? Let alone a midfielder.

Tomas Soucek has proven time and time again over the past year that he’s just not up to it anymore, and he certainly shouldn’t be a regular start for West Ham now.

The sooner that Moyes realises that the better.
