West Ham United signed Taty Castellanos from Lazio earlier on in the January transfer window.

It is believed that West Ham paid around £26 million for Taty Castellanos and the 27-year-old has already scored one goal in three appearances for the club.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping that the Argentine forward scores plenty of goals between now and the end of the season.

Taty has impressed the Hammers fans with his work-rate so far and he could well go on to become a cult hero at the London Stadium.

Describe Taty Castellanos in ONE word! 🇦🇷

And what would your West Ham frontline be now if you were picking the team?

The West Ham fans absolutely love a South American forward. Carlos Tevez springs to mind with his tenacious, passionate and top level performances for the Hammers nearly 20 years ago now.

But what is Taty’s first impression of the Hammers fans?

The former Lazio man seems to be improving every time he plays for West Ham.

And he already has the backing of the Hammers faithful.

Taty shared what he’s noticed about the West Ham fans since making his move from Lazio earlier this month, when speaking to West Ham’s official website.

The fans have shown me a lot of affection so far, and it’s been great to get to know more about them and the Club.

The way they support the team motivates me a lot, and all of us players are determined to give back to them with good performances on the pitch.

I’ve met some fans off the pitch, and they’ve been really respectful and kind, so that’s been really nice.

If you give your all, the West Ham fans will back you to the hilt. That’s the way it has always been and it seems like Taty has already noticed that.

Taty Castellanos delivers his verdict on living in London

Swapping Rome for London may well have been quite the culture shock for Castellanos.

However, the Argentine striker seems to be settling in just fine.

It’s great to be in London, and I feel comfortable here already, Taty said.

How much money would it take for you to sell Lucas Paqueta? 🤔

It’s a little bit cold at the moment (!), but so far I feel like there are similarities to New York, where I lived for around four years.

I’m really focused on doing my job for West Ham, but it’s good knowing there is plenty to do to enjoy my days off, and I think over time there are lots of places I’m going to be able to explore.

My girlfriend and my two dogs have arrived here now, and we’re all delighted to be here. We’ve been to London on vacation before, and it’s really exciting to be able to call this city our home now.

Away from football, some of my hobbies include video games and chess. I think I’m pretty good, so I’m looking forward to taking on some of my teammates here at West Ham!

It’s great to hear that Taty Castellanos is loving life at West Ham already.

Now the onus is on him to start scoring the goals needed to keep the Hammers in the Premier League.
