Tim Sherwood has absolutely raved about something in particular that one West Ham star did on Thursday night against Tottenham.
West Ham beat Tottenham 2-1 a couple of days ago, and Tim Sherwood has offered praise for one of our players.
Hammers boss David Moyes would have been delighted with the way in which his side came back from one goal down, and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
One man was key to our win on Thursday – Jarrod Bowen. The 26-year-old was exceptional in the second-half and dragged his team to what was an absolutely vital win in the end.
The former Hull City man has been our best player this season, by quite some margin as well. His fine form has led to West Ham slapping a £100 million price-tag on his head.
Bowen’s stunning display against Tottenham would have made everyone outside of the London Stadium stand up and take notice.
And Sherwood has explained what made his finish against Spurs so good…

Tim Sherwood raves about West Ham star
Jarrod Bowen’s finish to equalise against Tottenham may well have looked like a fairly simple one to the untrained eye.
However, Sherwood explained exactly why that wasn’t the case, when speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday today (Saturday December 9th, 12:22pm):
“Jarrod Bowen, fantastic finish because Vicario is coming across there, he has to lift it. The strikers on this panel will tell you, that’s a fantastic finish.”
Sherwood is spot on, it was a really good finish from Jarrod, and I don’t think he actually got the credit that he deserved for it.
The 26-year-old had to lift the ball over the outstretched Vicario and guide it into the top corner – he even admitted after the match that he was ‘scared’ when the ball fell to his right foot.
Bowen has gone from strength to strength over the past few years at the London Stadium, and I really think he’ll continue to get better.
Tim Sherwood highlighted just how good Jarrod Bowen is today, and if he keeps producing the goods on a consistent basis this season, there will be plenty of teams trying to prise him away from us.
If that does indeed happen, the Hammers owners have just got to do everything they can to keep him at the club.
