Respected BBC journalist Simon Stone makes new claim about Qatari takeover bid for Man United that will excite West Ham fans.
Both West Ham and Manchester United have been heavily linked with big money takeovers with the latter’s dominating headlines for months now.
Man United have been the subject of a protracted takeover bidding process since being put up for sale by the Glazer family.
And it has long been speculated that West Ham could be sold after the expiration of the club’s embarrassment clause in the London Stadium deal with the LLDC back in March.
The sad passing of co-owner David Gold and his daughter Jacqueline earlier this year also saw speculation intensify that West Ham could change hands in the not-too-distant future.

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire told Hammers News earlier this season that the club’s second biggest stakeholder Daniel Kretinsky has no desire for a full West Ham takeover.
And the future of both Man United and West Ham could actually be intrinsically linked.
Both parties in the running to buy the Red Devils have been linked with a West Ham takeover too.
As reported last year, Sir Jim Ratcliffe was allegedly interested in a potential takeover of West Ham before Man United were put on the market.
It appeared Man United had killed any West Ham hopes of a Ratcliffe takeover when they were put up for sale as he confirmed his intention to bid for the Old Trafford club.
West Ham have long been linked with a potential Qatari takeover too. The land surrounding the London Stadium – including Queen Elizabeth Park itself – is Qatari owned.

And at the end of last season Ratcliffe’s rival bidder for Man United, Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani, was reported to be eyeing West Ham should his attempts to buy the Red Devils fail.
That saga continues to rumble on.
Now respected BBC journalist Simon Stone has made a new claim about a Qatari takeover bid for Man United that will excite West Ham fans.
Speaking to Stretford Paddock, Stone revealed Sheikh Jassim fully intends to look into buying another Premier League club if he is unsuccessful in his attempts to acquire Manchester United.
And Stone name-checked West Ham as a possible alternative should that prove to be the case.

Stone says Sheikh Jassim is the current frontrunner.
But given the Qatari billionaire has thus far failed to agree a deal despite FIVE offers for the Red Devils, his new claim will fill West Ham fans with hope.
“If that (Sheikh Jassim Man United takeover bid) is rejected then Qatar’s interest in the Premier League, I assume, will move somewhere else,” Stone said.
“That could be a Tottenham. It’s been spoken about before they’ve got the location, got the stadium, got the training ground.
“It could be a West Ham. It could be anyone.”
Should Sheikh Jassim turn his attentions to West Ham, it would raise the prospect of serious future spending power for the Hammers.
Because he is part of the ruling royal family who have a collective net worth estimated to be at around £275bn.
