A reporter close to the West Ham United owners has claimed that Declan Rice’s father has held talks with Manchester United.
According to Claret and Hugh, the father of Declan Rice (Sean Rice) has been holding discussions with the powers that be at Manchester United about a potential summer move to Old Trafford for his son.

However, nothing is a foregone conclusion yet regarding Rice’s future. Manchester United are another club to have been linked with a move to sign the 41-capped England international – in fact, the Red Devils allegedly made a £100 million bid for him last summer.
And it seems as though Man United are still in the race to prise Dec away from the London Stadium this summer…

Claret and Hugh – a website with close links to Hammers co-owner David Sullivan, claims that Declan’s father Sean has held discussions with Man United.
Nobody really knows where Rice will end up plying his trade next season and beyond.
The bottom line is that if any club meets West Ham’s £120 million asking price, they will be in a strong position to sign him.

Arsenal are obviously further advanced in their development as a team than Manchester United are right now, but it could be argued that the Rice will have more of a chance to win things at Old Trafford than he would the Emirates.
The same can be said about Bayern Munich – the 24-year-old winning the Bundesliga every single year for the next decade would not be out of the question.
Manchester United would reach another level immediately if they signed Declan Rice this summer in my opinion. So to them, he’d surely be worth the £120 million fee.
However, I suspect that the Rice transfer saga will have plenty of twists and turns over the next couple of months or so before it reaches its conclusion.
