West Ham are fighting for our lives down the bottom of the table and are currently embroiled in a real relegation battle. Meanwhile, Spurs are trying to keep pace in the race for the top four.

The fact that we slipped inside the bottom three overnight is hugely concerning, and nothing less than a win will do against Tottenham today.

In order to get the three points though, we desperately need Aguerd to be fit and ready to face our fiercest Premier League rivals…

Aguerd in contention for Tottenham vs West Ham

The Morocco international may well feature for the Hammers against Spurs this afternoon.

He is rated at 50/50 to start the game, according to Claret and Hugh:

“Nayef is fifty fifty and will be tested late. However, Zouma will not be ready for a week to a fortnight.”

Having the 26-year-old centre-back fit and available for today’s game would be an absolutely massive boost for the Hammers.

Aguerd has been unbelievably good since he came back into the team following a serious ankle injury that kept him out of action for around four months.

The Moroccan has incredible pace and strength and his reading of the game is truly exceptional. When he plays, we’re a far better team.

And having Aguerd available for the Tottenham vs West Ham clash could be the difference between us winning and losing the game.
