West Ham United midfielder Soungoutou Magassa will surely have made Manchester United legend Paul Scholes jealous.
Magassa joined West Ham this summer from Monaco and appears to have adapted well to the intensity and tempo of the Premier League.
West Ham signed Magassa for £14.7m. He’s EASILY worth £50m today…🤑
What have YOU made of his impact this season?
He seems to have found his place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s midfield alongside Mateus Fernandes and Freddie Potts.
Magassa puts in Scholes-esque pass against Aston Villa
Aston Villa beat West Ham 3-2 last weekend and a lot was made about Nuno’s side squandering a 2-1 half-time lead at the London Stadium.
However, that should not take away from some of the performances of the Hammers players, Magassa in particular.
In the 60th minute of the game, with the score at 2-2, the 22-year-old received a pass from Fernandes ahead of the halfway line.
A couple of WINNABLE fixtures on the horizon! 🗓️
How many points will West Ham pick up in their next five games?
With two Villa players standing in front of him, Magassa scanned the entire pitch and saw Jarrod Bowen making a run into space.
Like Scholes in his heyday, he dinked a long-range pass perfectly into the stride of the West Ham captain, who controlled the ball perfectly on the right flank.
Footage of that pass has now emerged on X.

How far can Magassa go at West Ham?
When the Frenchman was linked with the Hammers in the summer, there were plenty of eyebrows raised as fans had not heard of him.
He had been quietly going on about his business for Monaco, first impressing for their B Team, before he got a first-team call-up.
The West Ham recruitment team, who usually get it wrong when it comes to bringing in new players, appear to have unearthed a gem in Magassa.
Not only is the French midfielder a talented passer, but he is also athletic, strong and has a footballing brain that can help him control the tempo of games.
All that Nuno needs to ask from him is to be consistent, but that can only happen if the players around him are on the same page as him.
Potts and Fernandes also look much better when they are around him and if the former France Under-21s international stays at the London Stadium for a while, he could anchor this midfield for the better part of the next decade.
