Paco Jemez has delivered a major update on his West Ham future after talks with Nuno Espirito Santo and it’s devastating news.
West Ham’s promotion plans for the new season may have been dealt a major blow after an update on the future of Paco Jemez from the man himself.
There has been claim and counterclaim about whether Jemez would stay at West Ham following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
The no-nonsense Spanish coach was credited for a huge turnaround in performances, effort and results when he arrived in January.
Jemez suggests he will not return to West Ham after Nuno talks
Almost to a man, West Ham’s players raved about Jemez’s impact.
Statistics supported that too with the Hammers being the sixth best team in the Premier League between the former Ibiza manager’s arrival and the end of the season.
What would you say if Amanda Staveley BOUGHT West Ham?
Staveley and Kretinsky could be quite the team… 📝 💰
Nuno Espirito Santo reached out to Jemez in desperation after West Ham were cut adrift following defeats to the likes of Wolves and Nottingham Forest over Christmas.
The Irons closed a 13-point gap on Spurs to overhaul them with just four games to go.

But in the end, West Ham fell at the final hurdle, missing out on survival by a solitary win.
Jemez only signed a six-month deal when he arrived, but supporters have been desperate for him to stay.
Indeed when Nuno’s future was in doubt, there was even some clamour for Jemez to be made Hammers boss as his replacement.
Jemez appeared to commit his future to West Ham in an interview earlier this month.
Jemez says he wants to be head coach again after West Ham stint
That came after a social media account purporting to be him said goodbye to the club in the days after relegation.
Now Jemez has delivered a devastating update on his West Ham future after talks with Nuno.
The Hammers boss held talks with his fiery assistant recently, as revealed by Jemez himself during a recent interview during a charity golf event.
Just how important is it that Paco Jemez RETURNS to West Ham?
The Spaniard is certainly open to the idea… 🫡
The man who became an instant cult hero with fans when he berated Nuno on the touchline for bringing on Max Kilman as a sub to see out a game says he wants to be a head coach somewhere as his next role.
While he has not ruled out continuing as assistant with West Ham altogether, he is actively looking for a managerial job elsewhere.

“I’m analysing to see if I can continue training and if there’s any project I feel like grabbing,” Jemez told Flash Score.
“The deputy (coach role) was something punctual (more to do with timing) I did with Nuno.
“That doesn’t mean I couldn’t do it again, but I’m looking for a project as a head coach.”
Having been credited with the turnaround in West Ham’s fortunes in the second half of the season by the likes of Jamie Carragher, Jemez will not be short of offers.
Losing the Spanish coach, who is adored by none other than Pep Guardiola, will be a crushing blow to Nuno’s plans.
Especially as West Ham’s board and the fans are expecting nothing less than automatic promotion next season.
Keeping Jemez would have given the Hammers a degree of continuity but now it seems Nuno will have to look elsewhere for a new right-hand man.
