The 25-year-old Spaniard and the 31-year-old Jamaican have linked up brilliantly of late.

None more so than the exceptional piece of interplay they displayed that led to Fornals’ goal against Crystal Palace 10 days ago.

Both players seem to have reached an entirely different level this season. David Moyes deserves a lot of credit for that. But the duo seem to be bringing the best out of each other as well.

The former Villarreal ace and Antonio often link up brilliantly in the final third.

Fornals’ guile and footballing intelligence combined with Antonio’s raw power and pace really is proving to be the perfect combination.

The Spaniard told the Guardian how he shares an almost telepathic understanding with Micky:

“It shows, doesn’t it? It really shows. The understanding is good with everyone but with Micky especially: he knows what I’m going to do, where I’m going to run, and I know what he’s going to do – if he wants it long or to feet. Almost without looking we know where each other are.”

It has been an absolute pleasure watching the West Ham duo in action so far this season.

Not only are they exceptional footballers but they are obeyer hard workers as well.
