Nuno Espirito Santo was seething on the touchline as everything that could go wrong for West Ham United went wrong against Nottingham Forest.
West Ham went 1-0 up inside the first-half and Nuno Espirito Santo would have been happy with how things were going at the London Stadium.
The Hammers seemed to have gone 2-0 up early in the second-half but Crysencio Summerville’s goal was chalked off after an intervention by VAR.
Forest came back into it and eventually won 2-1. It felt different this time.
Who was your MAN OF THE MATCH during West Ham v Forest?
Some good performances on a bad night…
There was an acceptance amongst the majority of Hammers fans that the Forest game was the last throw of the dice, and Nuno and his players had failed.

Nuno sends a message to West Ham fans after Nottingham Forest defeat
The former Forest boss genuinely looked in disbelief that his side managed to lose to Forest on Tuesday night.
In fairness to him, the VAR call to disallow Summerville’s goal was a debatable one, as was their penalty.
Nuno fronted up the media after what was another painful defeat.
And the 51-year-old sent an emphatic message to Hammers fans.

“It’s not over yet, we will keep on going,“ he said.
“We understand the supporters’ sadness and frustration, we are the same.
“What can we say? Keep helping us, again today they showed that when the team gives, they give back the support we need. The boys showed today we have fight.”
Nuno may not be admitting that it’s over yet, and mathematically, he is bang on the money.
However, most West Ham fans have accepted their fate now.

The defeat which sends West Ham down?
The rebuild from here could be a really long and painful one.
There will be some fans who are still positive that their team can avoid the drop this season.
Nuno is clearly desperate for the West Ham supporters to remain behind the team but that could well be a simple case of flogging a dead horse.
However, with games against Tottenham, Sunderland and Chelsea in their next three, things could get worse before they get better.
