A new video angle has emerged which settles fresh Julen Lopetegui West Ham bust-up claims that have surfaced after the win over Man United.
It may have involved a large slice of fortune but West Ham got a much-needed win for Julen Lopetegui against Man United.
The manager, fans – and as reported earlier today West Ham’s owners too – know it could have been very different.
Man United could and perhaps should have been at least 3-0 up at half-time.
Hammers fans were already furious Lopetegui did not give Crysencio Summerville his first Premier League start.
Had the game been out of reach at half-time then there would likely have been a mass exodus at the London Stadium.
West Ham were much-improved in the second half, though, with Lopetegui making three changes.
Summerville proves his point to West Ham boss
One of those saw Summerville come on.
It taught Lopetegui a very valuable lesson about West Ham fans that he’ll never forget.
The Dutchman was superb, changing the game in West Ham’s favour and scoring the opener.
As he wheeled away in celebration, the former Leeds man sprinted towards the bench.
He was seen wagging his finger as he did and then embraced suspended Mohammed Kudus.
After the game Summerville explained he had told Kudus he would score when he came on and that he would celebrate with the banned ace, who most had expected him to replace in the starting line-up.
But in the stadium and after the game on social media, there were claims of further unrest off the back of the celebration.
Now a new video angle has emerged which settles fresh Lopetegui West Ham bust-up claims.

New video emerges settles Lopetegui West Ham bust-up claims
It was widely publicised that the manager had a big half-time bust-up with Kudus at Brentford.
The Spaniard is said to have singled Kudus out for not being a team player. West Ham’s star boy took exception and things got heated.
Kudus was hooked at half-time as a result and was seen kicking a seat on the bench when the teams came out for the second half.
Summerville has admitted his frustration at a lack of game time under Lopetegui so far.
After he scored, many were claiming Summerville was wagging his finger at the manager as if to say ‘No I’m not celebrating with you’ before embracing Kudus.
Given Lopetegui had surprised just about everyone with his decision not to start Summerville, it would not be a huge surprise.
It also fit the narrative around the club going into the game. Journalists had claimed there is unrest in the dressing room with many players ‘unconvinced’ by Lopetegui.
West Ham star’s celebration clearly not aimed at manager
But new footage released by West Ham – perhaps aware of the idle speculation doing the rounds – puts the mischievous claims to bed.
West Ham shared a great video filmed from the Bobby Moore Lower as Summerville scores and celebrates.
It clearly shows the winger wagging his finger towards Kudus as if to say ‘I told you’ or ‘I’m coming for you’.
He then gestures to a member of security – and not Lopetegui – to move aside so he can run up the steps to his teammate.
Lopetegui can be seen in the footage taking his seat back in the dugout just after.
Lucas Paqueta was subbed off at half-time.
That story and situation would be ripe to be used to play into the unrest narrative too.
But when the Brazilian posted on social media after the game, Paqueta gave West Ham a very refreshing surprise.
Captain Jarrod Bowen also addressed the players after the game amid the rumours of unrest.
Two more West Ham stars have spoken out to dismiss the unrest claims too, more on that coming on Hammers News soon.
