West Ham United have numerous injury problems to deal with right now.
Graham Potter has many key players unavailable for selection, although many of them have recently returned to action for West Ham.
Potter has a seriously difficult task on his hands at the London Stadium, and it’s clear to see that the squad he has available to him isn’t generally good enough.
He will need to make big changes in the summer, and that’s exactly what he plans on doing according to reports.
However, in the here and now, Potter has to extract the best out of the players he has at his disposal.

Having a full squad to choose from would obviously help his cause.
And it seems like one player could be set for an earlier than expected return to action.
Monumental Niclas Fullkrug injury boost for West Ham
Niclas Fullkrug has been out of action with a hamstring injury since early January.
Don’t forget, he missed nearly three months of action earlier on this season as well, with a serious Achilles injury.
It was recently suggested that the German would not return to action until April at the earliest.

However, that seems to have all changed now.
According to Sean Whetstone, the 32-year-old has returned from a fitness camp out in Dubai, and is now ahead of schedule in his rehab from the hamstring problem he sustained last month.
That’s obviosuly great news for West Ham.
Despite the fact that we signed Evan Ferguson on loan in the January window, we are still very short of centre-forward options.
If Graham Potter is to succeed at the London Stadium, he can’t purely rely on Ferguson to score goals.
The young Irishman needs some help at West Ham, and Niclas Fullkrug returning to action will certainly provide him with that.
Quite when the former Borussia Dortmund man will be available for selection remains to be seen.
But even if he does end up leaving the Hammers in the summer, the sooner he’s back on the pitch for us this season the better it will be for Potter.
