Mohammed Kudus consolation as good news emerges, but it’ll mean more to him than West Ham

West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has been handed some very positive news overnight.

Mohammed Kudus has been unavailable for selection for West Ham since his sending off against Tottenham two weeks ago.

The really frustrating thing for Julen Lopetegui and the Hammers fans is that he has been on on fire during training over the past fortnight.

West Ham will discover Kudus’s fate imminently according to reports, and his lengthy ban is obviously a big blow for us.

That said, Kudus’s suspension may well end up being a blessing in disguise, as it has allowed Crysencio Summerville to come into the team and properly announce himself.

The bottom line is that West Ham are very lucky to have Kudus at the London Stadium.

Sure, it was wrong what he did during the final minutes away at Spurs, but I’m hoping that it will prove to be a big learning curve for him.

We need Kudus back in the team as soon as possible.

The prospect of him playing alongside Summerville is an incredibly exciting one.

And whilst it might still be a while before he returns to action, he has received some positive news overnight.

Mohammed Kudus consolation after good news for West Ham star

The Hammers signed Kudus from Ajax in the summer of 2023 for around £38 million, and he has doubled his worth since then due to a whole host of scintillating performances for us.

I have no doubts that the 24-year-old will go on to become one of the very best attacking players in world football over the next two or three years.

If Kudus believes in himself, which I’m sure he does, then the sky will be the limit for him.

And news coming out of his home country overnight will have given him a huge boost.

Ghana News Online claim it’s looking likely that Kudus will be named as the African footballer of the year award.

Now, that news is the kind of boost that could really lift the Ghanaian ace through the difficult time.

Sure, Mohammed Kudus winning the African footballer of the year award won’t do West Ham any good as a team right now, but we may well benefit from the shot in the arm it will give the former Ajax man.

When he returns to action, I predict that he will hit the ground running for the Hammers, and we will see a new and improved version of Kudus.

Hopefully the Hammers manage to successfully navigate the difficult run of fixtures lying ahead of us with Mo in the side.
