West Ham United travel to North London to take on Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side are in the midst of a Premier League title race, so the West Ham fans know just how hard it will be for Graham Potter‘s side to get a positive result.
The Gunners have one of the very best systems in world football, so facing them is still a daunting prospect, in spite of the amount of injuries they’re current dealing with.
One thing in our favour is the fact that Arsenal’s nemesis Craig Pawson has been named as the referee for the game.

West Ham have our own injury problems remember, with Lucas Paqueta and Vladimir Coufal the latest names to be ruled out.

Arsenal are obviously a much better team than West Ham.
And the Hammers are in transition right now, with Potter trying to clean up the mess left behind by Julen Lopetegui after his disastrous spell at the London Stadium.
So taking everything into account, could we really get a result at The Emirates on Saturday?
Mikel Arteta responds when told Arsenal would beat West Ham 9/10 times
The Hammers need a result tomorrow.
There absolutely has to be some substance behind the improved performances.
West Ham are certainly capable of getting a result against the Gunners.
But does Arteta think the clash at The Emirates on Saturday will be a straightforward one?
It was put to the Gunners manager by Ian Abrahams that Arsenal would beat West Ham nine times out of 10.
And Arteta responded in a really classy fashion, as quoted by Arsenal’s official YouTube account:

“I don’t think anyone’s thinking that way because we are very experienced in how difficult every opponent is in the Premier League. We have the history of what happened against them last season at The Emirates, and the history of what happened with Graham (Potter) against us at The Emirates.“
That’s a classy response from Arteta, and he’s absolutely right.
Whilst Arsenal are red-hot favourites to beat us, anything can happen during a 90-minute match.
The Gunners are missing their four best forwards as well, so right now is probably the best time to play them.
As Mikel Arteta said, West Ham beat Arsenal at The Emirates last season, and in doing so dented their Premier League title hopes for the second successive campaign.
Can the Hammers make it three seasons in a row where we cause the Gunners heartbreak? We shall see.
