BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson said he has been impressed by West Ham United’s attack this season, when writing his regular prediction column.

The Hammers seem to be a completely different animal this season.
We barely avoided relegation down to the Championship last term.
David Moyes has turned thing around at the London Stadium, however. And we now seem to be well capable of making a push for the top eight this season.

West Ham face another tough challenge on Monday when they play host to an in-form Aston Villa.
The Villans currently sit one place above the Hammers in the table having played a game less than the east London outfit.
Mark Lawrenson backed West Ham to take three points from the contest, however, when writing his regular ‘Lawro Predictions’ column:

“Villa have improved in every department compared to last season, but West Ham have got better too, and they are on a good run right now. I like the look of the Hammers’ attack at the moment and, even if this one is close, they have got the quality to nick the points.”
Lawro’s prediction: 2-1
Monday’s match will be a really good indicator of how far West Ham have come this season.
Aston Villa will represent a real challenge for us. If the Hammers players perform to their best abilities, however, we are more than capable of beating Dean Smith’s side.
Moyes will be keen for his side to take the game to Villa. At the same, time, he won’t want his defence to be exposed. So it may well be a cagey contest at the London Stadium on Monday night.
