West Ham United director of football Tim Steidten is facing real criticism right now.
And it seems like David Sullivan is none too happy with the German.
Tim Steidten arrived at West Ham in the summer of 2023, but he has failed to live up to his reputation at the London Stadium so far.
All is not well at West Ham right now, and there is apparently conflict behind the scenes between Steidten and Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers have endured a disastrous Premier League campaign so far.

The football has been dire to watch, and Lopetegui clearly doesn’t have any idea how to improve things.
So what does the future hold for Lopetegui? He apparently has two games to save his job, but the future doesn’t look certain for Steidten either it seems.
Tim Steidten claim proves David Sullivan is in no mood for games
The German has to start delivering, it really is as simple as that.
Aside from the Mohammed Kudus signing, what has he actually done for West Ham? Nothing that great if you ask me.
And he could be under a bit of pressure now it seems.
According to a report from The Guardian, Steidten’s future is under the spotlight, as well as Lopetegui’s.
It’s common knowledge that Lopetegui faces the sack if results don’t improve quickly.
However, this is the first time where Steidten’s future at the London Stadium has really been called into question.

And he had better start delivering with player recruitment, if he expects to be at West Ham for the long term.
Where is Tim Steidten the ‘pearl diver’?
During his time at Bayer Leverkusen, Steidten acquired the moniker of the ‘pearl diver’ due to his uncanny knack of unearthing undiscovered gems.
However, we’re yet to see that at West Ham so far.
The only unknown he has brought to the London Stadium has been Luis Guilherme.
We don’t know whether he will be a hit yet or not, but as things stand, it’s not looking good.
Tim Steidten’s major failing was leading the charge to sign Niclas Fullkrug for £27.5 million, and David Sullivan clearly isn’t happy one bit with that investment.
The German has clearly been left red-faced by the 31-year-old striker’s struggles in the Premier League.
West Ham need a real injection of energy and youth over the next two transfer windows.
And if Steidten doesn’t deliver, his time at West Ham may well be done.
One thing’s for sure, he deserves nearly as much criticism as Lopetegui is receiving right now.
