Major claim made about UEFA intervention which would resolve allegedly difficult relationship between David Moyes and Tim Steidten at West Ham.
There’s an alleged power struggle between David Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten at West Ham and there will be ‘only one winner’.
That’s according to a detailed update from board confidant Sean Whetstone over the weekend, which also included a claim that Steidten has started drawing up a list of replacements for the Hammers boss.
But could there actually be a situation on the horizon where everyone’s a winner?

Hammers News brought you an exclusive from the top source inside West Ham this morning who has responded emphatically to fresh speculation Moyes could be sacked.
The Scot is in the last year of his contract and West Ham – as a general rule – do not discuss renewals until the new year of any season at the earliest.
That will always give rise to speculation, tittle tattle and uncertainty.
Reports of power struggles and difficult relations between Moyes and Steidten are nothing new.

And they were inevitable as soon as the German was appointed given the manager had previously had full control of all aspects of recruitment.
In the summer, it was confirmed Steidten initially found the manager ‘very hard work’ amid reports he could walk out after just two weeks in the job.
A middleground was found and West Ham ended up making four excellent signings. But it seems tensions remain judging by reports elsewhere.
Now a major claim has been made about UEFA intervention which would resolve the allegedly difficult situation between Moyes and Steidten at West Ham.

Journalist Mike Keegan has claimed in his Sports Agenda column with The Daily Mail that Moyes may quit management at the end of his West Ham contract and ‘move upstairs’.
And Keegan states that one of his suitors could be UEFA – for whom Moyes works as a technical observer at major tournaments.
“Issues over signings and direction were resolved to the extent that Moyes has remained in post but sources have disclosed that it is unlikely a deal to extend his existing role will be forthcoming,” Keegan claims.
“West Ham execs are considering offering the 60-year-old the opportunity to move upstairs. They may well, however, face competition.
“UEFA are known to be keen on utilising Moyes’s experience and may well offer him some form of technical position aimed at tapping into his 25 years in the dugout.”
