There still could be a very late deadline day twist on the cards for West Ham United today it seems.
West Ham have only signed one player in the January transfer window – Kalvin Phillips on loan – but David Moyes will surely still be keen to get an attacking signing sealed on deadline day.
The Hammers are in a very strong position in the Premier League right now, and are safely through to the last 16 of the Europa League.
However, in order to keep progressing, Moyes will surely need to bring in a forward before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Ibrahim Osman of Nordsjælland is one player who we’ve been tracking over the past couple of weeks, but West Ham have struggled to agree a fee with the Danish outfit for the teenager.

It appears as though the player himself certainly hasn’t given up hope of moving to the London Stadium just yet though…
Late deadline day twist possible with winger ready to join West Ham
Ben Jacobs – the journalist who was first to break our interest in signing Lucas Paqueta in 2022 – has claimed that a deal to bring Osman to East London is looking unlikely.
However, Jacobs did suggest that the player is on standby to fly out to the UK just in case anything changes late on in the day:
This just feels like one we will revisit in the summer, I just can’t see it happening today.
Unless Nordsjælland drastically lower their demands for Osman, I reckon he’ll stay with the Danish side until the summer at least.
West Ham should still be on the hunt for a new forward on deadline day, but despite Jacobs’ claim that a late twist is still possible, I really don’t expect us to do any business of note between now and 11pm tonight.
