Julen Lopetegui will be sacked imminently by West Ham after the defeat to Leicester widespread breaking reports are claiming.
A host of media outlets including Sky Sports have been briefed West Ham are about to wield the axe on Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers boss came under increasing pressure after last night’s 3-1 defeat at Leicester City.
West Ham fans repeatedly chanted “you’re getting sacked in the morning” at the Spaniard.
It came as the Hammers trailed one of the worst teams in the Premier League 3-0 before a late consolation.
Now it seems the Hammers supporters were right.
West Ham spoke out after the 5-2 defeat to Arsenal, describing the Leicester game as “massive”.
And so it has proved in terms of consequences for the 58-year-old.
According to well-connected journalist Dharmesh Sheth, Lopetegui could be sacked imminently.
West Ham have won just four of the 14 league games under the ex Wolves boss.
The fact the Hammers registered 10 shots on target at the King Power counted for little.

Lopetegui nearly Lopete-gone at West Ham
It is not lost on the owners that West Ham were extremely fortunate to have won games against Palace and Man United.
West Ham also have the third worst goals conceded record in the top flight with 27 shipped in 14 matches.
It puts the team on course to match last season’s dismal club Premier League record 74 conceded.
That’s despite £87m being spent on the defence in the summer with the acquisitions of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo.
Lopetegui survived the international break after drawing what was billed a “must-win” game against Everton.
But it seems the shambolic defending which has seen eight goals conceded in two games, has been the final straw.
A spokesman for West Ham’s owners described the defending as “appalling” today.
Now Lopetegui is nearly Lopete-gone as widespread reports claim West Ham action is imminent.

Widespread reports claim West Ham action imminent
Sheth says West Ham’s owners are currently deciding whether to pull the plug.
And he has revealed faith has been lost in the boardroom.
“Julen Lopetegui’s future as West Ham head coach is understood to be hanging in the balance,” Sheth said on Sky Sports.
“The club’s board are currently weighing up whether to sack him following the defeats to Arsenal and Leicester, which have left West Ham 14th in the Premier League.
“It is thought sections of the board have lost faith in Lopetegui.”
The same is being reported by a host of national sports news outlets.
It suggests the media have been briefed ahead of an expected decision.
West Ham play Wolves on Monday with their season in danger of completely unravelling.
Overnight a top Hammers source close to majority owner David Sullivan launched a fan poll about the manager.
Pellegrini similarities startling for Hammers
It was seen by many as a pre-cursor to the club taking action.
The results have been damning.
And now it seems the owners are on the verge of sacking the former Real Madrid boss.
Lopetegui has drawn parallels to Manuel Pellegrini.
The Chilean was also a failed appointment who saw big funds lavished on his side without the expected results.
Ironically Pellegrini was sacked by West Ham after a December defeat to Leicester City.
It seems that was a bad omen for Lopetegui – as Hammers News pointed out might be the case a few weeks ago.
A plethora of managers have been linked as potential replacements.
West Ham’s prime candidates are said to be Sergio Conceicao, Graham Potter, Edin Terzic and Max Allegri.
According to two separate sources yesterday, Conceicao is open to replacing Lopetegui at West Ham.
