Joe Hart had a loan spell at the London Stadium with West Ham United in the 2017/18 season.
West Ham signed Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City, before sending him back to The Etihad at the end of the season, after he played just 19 Premier League games for us.
Hart criticised the fans after he left the London Stadium, by suggesting that the Hammers fans never really understood him, or in fact warmed to him.
I’m not sure about that. I just don’t think he was a very good goalkeeper towards the end of his career.
The evolution of the game passed him by due to his lack of ability with the ball at his feet.

Now, seven years on from his Hammers exit, Hart has seemingly taken yet another swipe at the West Ham fans.
This time, it was during a punditry appearance on Match of the Day…
Joe Hart makes West Ham fans look awful with London Stadium dig
The former Hammer is clearly not a big fan of our Stratford home, and I really don’t blame him!
It still angers me that we moved there from our beloved Upton Park just under nine years ago.
The atmosphere inside the London Stadium is more often than not absolutely dire.

However, Hart has laid the blame at the feet of the Hammers fans for the poor atmosphere, rather than the stadium itself.
When speaking on Match of the Day, Hart highlighted just how difficult it is for the home players to produce their best stuff at the London Stadium:
“You know, he’s gone into a team who are struggling, no question about it and he certainly hasn’t got the bounce. He said he saw some positive signs in the second-half but the first-half was a really, really difficult start and that stadium, as we all know, can be a really difficult place to play.“
I actually see where Hart is coming from.
I do believe that we have become much more demanding as a fanbase over the past few years.
However, I also think we are the best, most loyal fanbase in the country.
The West Ham fans have seen our side win just one major trophy over the past 45 years, yet we still show up in our droves to follow our club home and away.
All we demand is a competitive team, with each an every player giving their all for the shirt.
If some players can’t handle that, then so be it, we’re better off without them.
Joe Hart clearly wasn’t fond of playing in front of the home fans at the London Stadium.
Perhaps he should have a chat with Craig Bellamy about what it takes to wear the West Ham shirt.
