Jarrod Bowen fired West Ham United to a 2-1 win over Wolves in the Premier League on Monday night.
That win was for Michail Antonio wasn’t it.

Jarrod Bowen spoke about Antonio both before and after the game against Wolves, with his West Ham teammate recovering in hospital following a horrific car crash on Saturday.
It obviously inspired him to put in a match-winning performance against Wolves, and he topped the Hammers News player ratings.
It was a fairly poor game over-all, and Julen Lopetegui is still under severe pressure despite the victory.
The performance in the second-half was a lot better, but I still feel like we’re wide open defensively, and look like conceding every time the opposition go forward.

A lot of work is needed to get us to the levels we need to be at.
I personally think that Lopetegui should still be sacked, despite the fact that we won the game.
And something Bowen just said about the half-time team-talk proves that to me.

The three points was much needed, but the performance was far from convincing.
Hopefully it’s onwards an upwards for us from here, but I really feel like we won’t make any kind of progress until Lopetegui is gone unfortunately.
Bowen spoke to WHUFC.com after the game, and opened up on the half-time team-talk during our clash with Wolves.
“It was goalless at half-time, and I think we were just lacking a bit of energy. We said that to each other at half-time, and we’d also identified set-pieces as an area to put pressure on them.

“We made a little tweak at half-time, so that I would take the first corner on that side, and it came off with Tomáš scoring, so it was great to see us make the most of those opportunities and get over the line when it mattered.”
I love that from Bowen, however, it’s worth noting that he said he and his teammates discussed what was needed.
Was Lopetegui not involved in these discussions?
The Spaniard looks like a dead man walking to me.
I don’t feel like the players are playing for him, and instead they are simply putting in a shift for the fans and their own personal pride.
The sooner Lopetegui is gone the better it will be for us as a club in my opinion.
Jarrod Bowen’s comments on the half-time team-talk proved that Julen Lopetegui isn’t the man we need at the helm.
His days at the London Stadium are numbered as far as I’m concerned.
