Jack Sullivan has reacted to his dad’s official West Ham statement about David Moyes with a 19-word post on social media.
Now it is official, David Moyes will leave West Ham United after the final game of the season at Man City.
After four-and-a-half years and a stellar job in east London, West Ham have done the right thing and announced Moyes’ departure.
Hammers fans, journalists, pundits and ourselves have been urging David Sullivan to bring forward an announcement on Moyes.
The club and the manager himself have been insisting no decision would be made on his future until the end of the season.
But it became increasingly clear West Ham intended to go in a different direction this summer.
Sullivan and the Hammers hierarchy have been subjected to fierce criticism over their handling of the situation.
Now there is clarity for all concerned.

Jack Sullivan reacts to his dad’s statement on Moyes
At 6pm on Monday night, West Ham released a statement on the club’s official website confirming Moyes will leave at the expiration of his contract.
West Ham fans know Spaniard Julen Lopetegui will be the man to replace him.
In the statement majority owner Sullivan had this to say about Moyes.
“David has been responsible for a period of great progress and success in our history, and we are extremely grateful for all of his hard work, commitment and dedication to the role,” Sullivan senior said.
“David has been an absolute professional to work with and he will leave with our greatest respect and good wishes – he deserves to be held in the highest esteem for the service he has given to West Ham United, and we wish him every success in the future.
“By making this announcement now, it allows David to get the send-off he deserves from the West Ham supporters and for us all to show our appreciation to him at our final home fixture of the season against Luton Town on Saturday.”

Owner’s son hails ‘legend’ Moyes
Now in what is a rare post on social media, one of his sons has had his say.

Sullivan thanked hard-working Moyes for giving him the best night of his life back in Prague last year.
He also called the Scot an ‘amazing person’ when responding to West Ham’s link to the official statement.
Indeed he went one further than his father – calling Moyes a West Ham United legend.
“Provided me with the best day of my life,” Jack said on X alongside a heart emoji.
“An amazing person and extremely hard worker and a legend.”
Moyes pulled West Ham up by its boot straps when he returned at the turn of the year in 2019/20.
He saved the Hammers from relegation amid all the uncertainty of the pandemic.
Moyes restored standards and professionalism.
And he made fans proud to support West Ham again.
Three consecutive European campaigns, West Ham’s record ever Premier League points total, sixth and seventh place finishes and some memorable wins over the top flight’s elite and our fiercest rivals along the way.
All topped off by the night Sullivan references as he led the Hammers to that first major trophy in 43 years.
