Buzzing Antonio on cloud nine after praise from legend Henry

And if Antonio was buzzing after his two goals then a conversation with Henry in front of the watching millions would have had him on cloud nine post match.

Speaking about Antonio’s performance, Henry was full of praise for the West Ham striker.

 

The Premier League Hall of Famer even told Antonio he wished he could have been more like the former non-league star – when it comes to his heading ability.

‘It’s magic’ Antonio reacts after Henry reveals he wishes he could’ve been more like him

Antonio has now scored 20 headed Premier League goals. That puts him in 10th place on the all-time list.

“It’s magic to be fair (to hear Henry is singing his praises),” Antonio said on Sky Sports MNF.

“Obviously Thierry is a legend in the game and now I’m a striker and like he did gone from wing to up front and hopefully I can score the goals like he did.”

To which Henry responded: “To be fair l wish I could head the ball like you did.

“I couldn’t head the ball to save my life. So well done on that.”

A chuffed Antonio replied: “Thank you, thank you.”
