Paul Merson has predicted the outcome of West Ham United’s clash with Leicester City on Tuesday night.
West Ham desperately need a win against Leicester in the Premier League, with Julen Lopetegui apparently facing the sack if results do not improve quickly.
The Hammers have been woeful this season, but so have Leicester in all fairness, and Paul Merson has made a three-goal prediction for the King Power Stadium showdown.
West Ham seemingly got their season back on track with a 2-0 win at Newcastle last week, but that proved to be little more than a false dawn.

The East London outfit were brought crashing back down to earth with a bang on Saturday when Arsenal beat us 5-2 at the London Stadium.
We need an instant response from the Hammers players up in the East Midlands on Tuesday.
Paul Merson makes three-goal Leicester vs West Ham prediction
Nothing less than a convincing win and a top-class performance will do against the Foxes.
The Hammers really shouldn’t be anywhere near the lower reaches of the Premier League table.
But how does Merson see this one going?
The well-known pundit has written his regular prediction column for Sportskeeda.
And Merson went for a 2-1 scoreline to the away team:
“I have watched Leicester so many times this season and they are just not good enough. When they get beat, they are well beaten and that’s a big problem if you’re a newly-promoted side. Ruud van Nistelrooy has a big task at hand now. Don’t get me wrong, he had to take that job when it came up but I they still have very little chance of staying up.“
“West Ham got blown away in 30 minutes against Arsenal. Those two goals may have papered over the cracks a little bit, but they are not out of the woods yet. If they were able to put in a performance like the one against Newcastle, they wouldn’t have lost in my opinion.“

“I still can’t see West Ham losing this game, l’d be shocked if that happened.“
“Julen Lopetegui needs to string together a few results in the league and then West Ham can probably focus on a cup run. That should be their objective from here on in the season.“
“There is no doubt that West Ham are in a bit of trouble now though. They will be safe in the end, but that’s just not good enough if you’re West Ham in my opinion.“
Prediction: Leicester City 1-2 West Ham United
I would take that all day long but I have to say, I’m not quite as confident as clearly Merson is.
Lopetegui has failed to get his new signings to gel so far this season, aside from the games against Newcastle and Ipswich Town.
Leicester undoubtedly have players who are capable of causing West Ham problems.
I’m just hoping that our key men turn up and put in a proper performance against the Foxes.
