Harry Redknapp absolutely raved about West Ham United centre-back Craig Dawson when speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday programme this afternoon (Saturday, February 13th, 14:20).

Hammers boss David Moyes brought the 30-year-old defender to the London Stadium on loan from Watford in October until the end of the season.
Dawson who earns £40k-a-week at the London Stadium according to Football League FC, had to bide his time before forcing his way into David Moyes’s side, however.
The former West Brom ace was given his chance just after Christmas and he hasn’t looked back since.
Harry Redknapp praises ‘outstanding’ Craig Dawson
The 30-year-old has played eight Premier League games for West Ham. In those appearances, the centre-back has racked up six tackles, 10 interceptions, 35 clearances and 18 headed clearances. He has also won 20 aerial battles and has made 30 ball recoveries (premierleague.com).
And Harry Redknapp raved about Dawson, when speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday programme this afternoon (Saturday, February 13th, 14:20):
“For me, one of the signings of the season has to be Dawson. What a signing that was on loan from Watford. He wasn’t getting in Watford’s team and I was thinking, ‘What are they doing taking him?’. But he’s been outstanding, every game I’ve seen he really has been top draw.”
Redknapp has clearly changed his opinion on Craig Dawson.
In fairness, Dawson’s fine form has taken every single West Ham fan by surprise.
West Ham have the option to buy the centre-back for around £2-3 million in the summer according to Claret and Hugh. It is an option that the East London outfit will surely take up.
He has been an absolute rock at the back for Moyes’s side. With Angelo Ogbonna set to miss the next few games, Dawson will have even more responsibility now.
And judging by the 30-year-old recent form, he is more than capable of stepping up to the plate yet again.
