Graham Potter is once again under the microscope after Jean-Clair Todibo made a striking claim involving Nuno Espírito Santo that will spark anger among the West Ham fanbase.

Another trip to Brighton and more late disappointment for West Ham in the Premier League.

The Hammers conceded in the dying moments to the Seagulls as they dropped two precious points in their battle to stay up.

Back in April, Graham Potter had a post-match meltdown after being jeered off by both West Ham and Brighton fans at the Amex when the Hammers came from behind to lead 2-1, only to throw it away and lose 3-2.

West Ham were leading 1-0 when Georginio Rutter struck to level things on the stroke of 90 minutes.

Deja vu as West Ham throw away points at Brighton

But there was something different about this West Ham performance under Nuno Espirito Santo than his predecessor Potter.

The Portuguese has taken on car crash of a club and West Ham are clearly in a relegation battle that will go right down to the wire.

Nuno opened up on the job done by Potter at West Ham for the first time ahead of the trip to Brighton.

In a brutal verdict, the Hammers boss said Potter failed to get the basics and fundamentals right during a dismal eight-month tenure.

The English coach was a complete flop at Chelsea in the job before West Ham and is now struggling as Sweden coach since being sacked in east London.

With every point so precious in the battle for survival, West Ham’s draw at Brighton felt like two dropped.

Supporters have been blaming everyone from the officials to Nuno for his tactics and substitutions, Konstantinos Mavropanos for failing to go down after a high foot before the goal and then missing a late chance and Crysencio Summerville for his poor finishing.

West Ham fans have been venting their anger and frustration with the result keeping them in the relegation zone.

That stems from the grave situation the club is in.

Who is West Ham’s worst manager in the Premier League era and why?

What does Nuno have to do to avoid joining this list?

Potter has West Ham blood on his hands as Todibo makes claim

There is a feeling that West Ham would not be in this position had Nuno come in sooner.

And that will be cemented by comments from one star who has completely turned his Hammers career around since Potter’s exit.

The French defender has added extra fuel to the narrative that Potter left behind a mess at the London Stadium — one that Nuno has been forced to clean up.

A number of current and former Hammers stars have been critical of Potter since his departure.

It was also notable that not one West Ham player publicly wished Potter well when he was axed.

Vladimir Coufal exposed Potter for his unforgivable treatment on leaving West Ham after revealing details of a private conversation with the former boss.

Striker Callum Wilson also made a damning admission about Potter amid Nuno’s recent turnaround at West Ham, which has seen the side take 10 points from 10 games.

Michail Antonio brutally slammed Potter for ruining West Ham’s culture in a cutting assessment of what is officially the worst managerial tenure in the club’s 130-year history.

Todibo claimed recently that Nuno has improved West Ham in every aspect since Potter was sacked.

Now the French defender, who has been one of the team’s best players lately, has doubled down.

Todibo sheds light on shambolic West Ham before Nuno

He says the penny has only dropped since Nuno arrived and that West Ham are finally onto something.

Todibo revealed Potter also did a terrible job with West Ham’s team spirit, claiming he is only now starting to feel comfortable talking to many of the other players.

Todibo also says players were not taking responsibility when Potter was in charge.

“I think we’ve improved a lot as a team (under Nuno),” Todibo told West Ham’s website.

“And everyone individually is doing his best for the team.

“So (we) keep believing. I think we are on to something now…

“I think there are a lot of things (that have contributed to Todibo’s turnaround in form). There’s also a bit more confidence, more talking.

“I’m more into the group now. I feel more comfortable with everyone. And it’s also about (everyone) taking his own responsibility at the moment. I try to do that as much as I can.”

It is becoming increasingly clear West Ham were a complete shambles behind the scenes as well as on the pitch when Potter was in charge.

He has left the Hammers facing an uphill battle to survive and the truth is starting to come out now from the likes of Todibo and Nuno.
