Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has delivered an emphatic verdict on Kalvin Phillips leaving Man City for West Ham.
West Ham are closing in on the loan signing of midfielder Kalvin Phillips from Man City.
But some Hammers fans have questioned whether they need the Manchester City flop.
It was claimed yesterday that Phillips is ‘happy’ to leave Man City for West Ham and the deal will be announced ‘shortly’.
Now LondonWorld is reporting sources have exclusively told them a medical has been booked for Wednesday after terms were agreed between Manchester City and West Ham.

Neville’s emphatic verdict on Phillips to West Ham
Last Friday we brought news from a source involved in the West Ham side of negotiations who revealed Phillips’ soft spot for David Moyes had given the Hammers the edge over other clubs.
On the face of it many feel the move makes little sense for West Ham or Phillips, who is looking to play week in, week out to keep his England spot for the Euros.
Central midfield is probably the lowest priority position West Ham need to strengthen this month.
And there is an argument that Phillips might only find himself on the bench at West Ham just as he does at Manchester City. Because he would not get into the side ahead of Edson Alvarez while James Ward-Prowse arguably brings more to the table with his free-kicks as does Tomas Soucek in terms of a goal threat.
But what does one of Sky Sports’ top pundits think?

‘Good move for all parties and England’
Gary Neville has delivered an emphatic verdict on Phillips leaving Man City for West Ham.
And he thinks it is a great move all round, describing Phillips as a ‘fish out of water’ at the Etihad.
“He needs to play football, I mean that’s for sure,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“Obviously we remember he was a major England player, someone we thought would do well at Manchester City – you normally think that City don’t make mistakes in the transfer market.
“It’s just not worked out for him there, they’ve got fantastic options in midfield. But West Ham losing Declan Rice, I think it’s a good move for West Ham, it’s a good move for Kalvin Phillips. Hopefully he can stay fit and get a lot of football in before the Euros in the summer.

‘Fish out of water at City’
“Well we know he’ll play in midfield, alongside (Tomas) Soucek I would imagine in there, he’ll have Soucek to go forward and he sits in there, he’s a good passer, good experience.
“Look Manchester City is a football team that is unique and if you’re just not quite as sharp on the ball as those around you – and he’s playing with Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Kevin de Bruyne – you can look a little bit like a fish out of water.
“And there was a little bit of that of Kalvin Phillips at Manchester City. But when he goes to West Ham he’ll fit in there no problem. He’s a really good player and a good solid David Moyes type I think to have on the pitch…
“I think this could work well for all parties including England.”
