Former West Ham striker Andy Carroll has just accepted his first job in management at Dagenham & Redbridge.
The 37-year-old signed for Dag & Red on a three-year deal as a player last summer and became a minority shareholder in February.
Carroll is now in his third role at the National League South club – coaching the team until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Carroll has scored six goals in 12 National League South games this season, but he has spent a long time sidelined with injuries.
Having missed the first seven games of the season, the forward has also missed the last 18.
He was recently spotted watching Dag & Red’s 1-0 victory over Dorking Wanderers with famous YouTuber and fellow owner KSI.
However, despite beating Farnborough 3-2 away on Tuesday, manager Lee Bradbury was relieved of his duties.

This created an opening for Carroll to step in as interim head coach until the end of the campaign.
“Andy Carroll will take the team on an interim basis, and further updates will be communicated in due course,” a club statement read.
It remains unclear whether Carroll has completed any of his coaching badges, or whether he would like the job permanently.
Either way, one would assume that the ex-Hammer will return to playing rather than coaching in the next season and beyond.
