There has not been much for West Ham fans to smile about this year let alone this season but now there is.
The last international break for four months is almost over and West Ham will be back in action next Monday night.
Whether that will give Hammers fans something to cheer or moan about remains to be seen.
Julen Lopetegui is under pressure with West Ham 14th in the Premier League after just three wins from 11 so far.
The Irons are out of the League Cup too.
There have been few, if any, positives to glean from West Ham’s dismal performances either.

Fans will love brilliant West Ham reunion sealed at weekend
The Hammers lack leadership and it’s been clear for all to see on the pitch.
So much so that Tomas Soucek spoke out recently to state he needs to step up and help Jarrod Bowen by being one of the team’s big leaders.
Soucek was one of a host of Hammers stars who flew off to represent their countries over the international break.
The Czech Republic captain helped his team to a 0-0 draw in a Nations League clash with Albania on Saturday.
Soucek and West Ham teammate Vladimir Coufal will be in action again on Tuesday night when the Czechs take on Georgia to try and seal their place as group winners and promotion to League A.
Bowen gave West Ham fans plenty to smile about with his excellent goal in England’s rout of Ireland yesterday.
Now there’s more feel good vibes for Hammers fans from Soucek.
Fans will love the brilliant West Ham reunion that was sealed at the weekend.
Soucek ran into a former Hammers teammate and fan favourite in Albania.

Hammers heroes super Tom and fab Zab back together
None other than that man Pablo Zabaleta.
What many West Ham fans may not know is that nowadays their former right-back is the assistant manager of Albania’s national team, under head coach Sylvinho.
‘Zaba’ as he was affectionately known during his time with the Hammers, joined under Manuel Pellegrini back in 2017.
He played 80 games for West Ham across all competitions during his three years in east London. He departed in the summer of 2020, with the Hammers being his last club before he announced his retirement.
A fantastic player, professional and leader, the former Argentina star was a reliable and experienced presence for West Ham.
Just like Soucek, whom he played alongside for six months following the midfielder’s timely arrival from Slavia Prague in January 2020.
The pair were reunited when the Czechs played Albania.
They posed for a picture together which Soucek posted on his Instagram Stories.
“Great to see you Pablo Zabaleta,” Soucek said alongside heart and Hammers emojis.
Food for the soul isn’t it West Ham fans.
Goodness knows Lopetegui could do with a few leaders like Zabaleta right now.
