Emerson Palmieri looks set to leave West Ham after sending a cryptic post on social media following his squad snub for the season finale at Ipswich.
Emerson Palmieri was West Ham’s man of the match when they won the Europa Conference League on that unforgettable night in Prague two years ago.
The competition was the making of Emerson as a West Ham player.
After blowing hot and cold following his £13.5m move from Chelsea, Emerson’s confidence rocketed with a brilliant performance in the semi-final against AZ Alkmaar.
Emerson was first West Ham star to fall out of favour with Potter
He followed that up with an even better display as he helped the Hammers beat Fiorentina 2-1 and lift a first major trophy for 43 years.
Fast forward to present day, though, and it seems the Brazilian-born Italy international has played his last game for the Hammers.
Emerson was one of the first players to fall out of favour with Graham Potter.
He was dropped for Ollie Scarles in Potter’s first game in charge and has rarely started since.

In every game Emerson has started under Potter he has been subbed off too.
The 30-year-old hit a new low when the Hammers went to Ipswich Town on the last day of the season.
Now Emerson has sent a cryptic post after his West Ham squad snub and it surely means he’s on his way.
Potter made five changes to the Hammers team for the 3-1 victory at Portman Road.

And there was not even a place on the bench for Emerson as Scarles started with Aaron Wan-Bissaka moving back to the right.
The game marked a big farewell for the likes of Aaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski and Vladimir Coufal.
The only other players leaving who were left out of the squad were loan duo Carlos Soler and Evan Ferguson.
So Emerson’s snub is significant.
Especially as he has been linked with moves to Italy and Turkey.

Of course there is always the possibility Emerson was injured or ill ahead of the game. Although he was pictured in full training the day before the match.
But there is clearly something amiss between the left-back and the manager if his social media activity is anything to go by.
Emerson usually posts encouraging messages to fans after matches on social media.
After last week’s home defeat to Forest for example, Emerson wrote: “It wasn’t the season we aimed for, but we’ll come back stronger. Grateful to receive the Goal of the Season award – thank you for all the support throughout the year. Come On You Irons.”
But his latest post hinted at an issue and it means he is highly likely to be on his way out of the London Stadium this summer.
Emerson’s message surely means he’s on his way
“Time is the answer for everything,” Emerson posted along with a fiery heart emoji on X, just moments after the final whistle of West Ham’s win at Portman Road.
West Ham fans have taken it as a clear indication he has played his last game for the club.
Because many of them have been thanking him for his service in the responses.
It remains to be seen whether Potter explains Emerson’s absence.
Perhaps the decision was taken out of the manager’s hands by the owners if West Ham know they have a decent offer waiting on the table for a player Potter clearly doesn’t rate.
