The chances of West Ham United appointing Edin Terzic as manager have undoubtedly just increased.
Julen Lopetegui is the current head coach of West Ham, but he’s a man under real pressure, and Edin Terzic has been strongly linked with the London Stadium hot-seat.
Terzic, 42, was actually heavily linked with replacing David Moyes, before Lopetegui was handed the job in the end.
And then the former Borussia Dortmund boss emerged as a managerial target for the Hammers once again just last week.
The win over Manchester United last weekend certainly eased the pressure on the Lopetegui’s shoulders.
However, defeats to Nottingham Forest and Everton before the international break would put us right back to square one.

In fact, two losses might just be enough to end Lopetegui’s reign at the London Stadium.
And if he is moved on, Terzic will be right there waiting.
Edin Terzic to West Ham has just become more realistic
Terzic is a free agent right now, so it’s no surprise why David Sullivan is a big fan of him is it!
That said, it’s not just his availability on a free that’s attracting the Hammers.
He’s a hugely exciting young manager who has already proven he has the ability to command the respect of a dressing room filled with big egos, whilst implementing an attractive style of football on the pitch.
He could actually be perfect for the Hammers job, and now a new claim has been made about his future.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Terzic is keen to take over at a Premier League club.
That club may well be West Ham, given the recent rumours.
Obviously a lot will depend on how the Hammers perform between now and the new year.

The Hammers owners are said to be prepared to give Lopetegui until the new year to prove himself.
That’s fair enough if you ask me, and if the Spaniard has failed to implement his ideas successful by then, he should be moved on.
Edin Terzic would be a fantastic replacement for Julen Lopetegui, if the 58-year-old is moved on from West Ham.
He nearly won the Bundesliga title in the 2022/23 season, and reached the Champions League final last term with Borussia Dortmund.
Terzic is a very intense, highly proficient young manager, and his experience of working alongside Slaven Bilic at West Ham for two years would stand him in good stead.
I wouldn’t be surprised one little bit if the 42-year-old replaces Lopetegui at the London Stadium at some point in the near future.
