West Ham United are plotting a late D-day move to sign a player from our Premier League rivals it seems.
David Moyes has already signed Kalvin Phillips for West Ham in the January transfer window but the Scot’s not done just yet, with Dharmesh Sheth claiming that the he’s monitoring a Premier League defender.
The Hammers have been linked with numerous players this winter, and Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah is one of them, with a loan deal being mooted for the 24-year-old.
The Blues ace has apparently been given the green light to leave Stamford Bridge before D-day, according to Football Insider.
And now another update has been provided on West Ham’s interest in the 24-year-old Chelsea defender…

West Ham keeping an eye on move for 24-yo PL star before D-day
Dharmesh Sheth took to his X account today and claimed that the Hammers are keeping a close eye on the Chelsea defender, with just three days remaining before the transfer window slams shut.
Chalobah is an incredibly fit and athletic defender, although I must say that his recent injury problems are a big concern.
He has only just returned to training following a lengthy five-month lay off with a thigh problem, and the last thing we need is another injury prone defender at the club.
However, Chalobah is young enough to recover properly from his most recent injury problem, and I think he could be a really smart signing for us.
If West Ham sign the Chelsea star on loan before D-day, with an option to buy him in the summer, I’ll be more than happy with that business.
