West Ham United ace Declan Rice was captured on video partaking in shooting practice during an England training session this week.
And the 22-year-old proved once again that he has yet another string to his ever blossoming bow.
Dec is a hugely important player for the Hammers. And he has now established himself as a vital player for Gareth Southgate’s England team as well.
The West Ham fans have always known just how good Rice is. Outside of East London, however, rivals fans have criticised him for being a one trick pony – a DM who passes either backwards or sideways.
That fallacy has already been smashed to bits over the past 12 months. And now Dec has proven that he has yet another trick up his sleeve.
Declan Rice England training video proves one thing
The 26-capped England international is not renowned for his goalscoring abilities.
He proved during a training session with England that he certainly has that in his locker, however.
Rice was caught on film firing a succession of crisply hit strikes beyond Nick Pope between the sticks:
It has been well reported that West Ham value Rice at around £100 million (Daily Mail).
We think he’s worth at least that amount. And if he starts adding five or six goals a season to his long list of attributes then it could be argued that he is worth £20-30 million more than the reported £100 million valuation.
Rice is some player. All we can hope for is that he remains at the London Stadium for some time yet.
