West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan is now almost certainly set to replace current manager David Moyes.
What a topsy turvy season this has been for West Ham – one that will seemingly now end with a big change in the managerial department.
Hammers supremo David Sullivan clearly isn’t happy with how the second half of the season has panned out, and David Moyes will pay the price accordingly.
The first rumblings of discontent behind the scenes at the London Stadium emerged back in February, when it was claimed that the West Ham owners were really unhappy with Moyes’s comments after our defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Following the 2-0 loss at the City Ground, Moyes came out firing:

“Maybe some fans want a change or maybe they’ve had managers who excite them more possibly… but the one who’s sitting here wins more”.
Moyes then told reporters that he had a contract sitting there waiting for him to sign, as quoted by BBC Sport:
“I’ve had really good conversations with the owners, with David Sullivan and Karren Brady. There’s a contract there for me and I’m the one deciding I want to wait until the end of the season.”
It wasn’t the time or the place for the Scot to arrogantly make that claim, and it has been a downhill slippery slope ever since for him and his players.
West Ham have won just three Premier League games in 2024 – not good enough on any level. And now Moyes is set to lose his job as a result…
Sullivan set to appoint ex-Premier League boss to replace Moyes
The Hammers co-owner is now ready to make a change, with Moyes having run out of chances.
The Scot only has himself to blame, after what was a disastrous January transfer window left him extremely short of numbers.
Hopefully he gets the send-off he deserves for what he’s done for us. It’s just such a shame he didn’t leave on a high note in the summer.
Sullivan apparently has one man in mind to replace the Scot…

Milan Live have run a piece saying ‘He goes to West Ham’, in regards to the future of Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers have allegedly made a decisive move on Lopetegui, and are ‘ready to take him to London immediately’.
I have to say, I’m not inspired one little bit by the potential appointment of the 57-year-old Spaniard.
He’s a pragmatist by nature, and I really don’t see too many differences between him and Moyes. The former Sevilla and Wolves boss certainly isn’t the man we need to take us on to another level as far as I’m concerned.
Sullivan is clearly set to replace Moyes, but I just wish he was eyeing up a more ambitious appointment.
